Copenhagen Infrastructure Orders 135 MW Turbines from Vestas

Recently, Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners once again ordered 135 MW V126-3.45 MW wind turbines from Vestas. This is the second order they have signed with American Vestas for the Blue Cloud Wind Power Project in Texas.

The company highlights Vestas' ability to maximize customers' return on investment from their wind assets throughout their lifecycle. It is understood that Vestas will serve the Lanyun Wind Power Project for 25 years. Including previously purchased PTC components, the total capacity of the Blue Cloud Wind Power Project is 148.4 MW.

The 25-year service agreement is an Active Output Management 5000 (AOM 5000) service agreement: a comprehensive service package from Vestas designed to maximize uptime and energy production. With a 25-year tenure, CIP ensures optimized performance throughout the project's lifecycle.

Senior Partner at Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners said: “Vestas has proven itself during the construction of the Bearkat I project and we are delighted to continue our successful cooperation with Blue Cloud. We look forward to working with Vestas to further expand our presence in America’s Footprints.”

"This is Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners' second wind energy investment in the United States, and a service contract lasting a quarter of a century is also a strong one," said Vestas President Sales and Service in the United States and Canada. Proof of the partnerships we are building and the trust our customers have in our service offerings, this order also expands the 4MW platform’s footprint in the U.S., highlighting the platform’s momentum in North America and fully demonstrating Vestas. product variety and flexibility.”

Vestas will supply and commission the turbines for the company, with deliveries expected to begin in the second quarter of 2018 and commissioning by the end of 2018.
