Application Exploration of BANDON Inverter Heat Pump in Tibet

As a leader in the high-power commercial inverter technology in the heat pump industry, BANDON has been committed to the research and development and application of heat pump inverter energy-saving technology since its establishment in 1998. In particular, in response to the special environment of high-altitude plateaus, BANDON successfully developed the industry's first 40-horsepower ultra-low-temperature commercial DC inverter heat pump in 2019, solving the problems of strong heat attenuation and adaptability to water quality and voltage fluctuations in high-altitude and severe cold areas, bringing clean and efficient heating and hot water solutions to plateau areas.

In order to ensure the warmth of all teachers and students, the school chose BANDON inverter heat pump as heating equipment. In combination with local climate conditions and school environment, the BANDON team customized a set of efficient heating system for the school, equipped with 36 40-horsepower ultra-low temperature high-power commercial inverter units, which were installed in four areas: office building, teaching building, teacher's residence and student dormitory, to ensure that each area can reach a comfortable heating temperature. After installation and commissioning, the system not only meets the school's heating needs, but also achieves the dual goals of energy saving and management.

This project provides an efficient and energy-saving heating and hot water solution for the office building of the Lhasa Cultural Tourism Management Committee. The heating area is 13,000 square meters. Ten 40-horsepower commercial inverter heat pump units are used for heating. The radiators and floor heating systems are connected at the end to create a warm and comfortable office environment. At the same time, we innovatively introduce an efficient coupling system of air source and solar energy, using three 15-horsepower commercial inverter heat pump water heaters and a 25-ton water tank at the end to create an all-weather hot water supply system. Not only does it maximize the use of energy, but it also achieves environmental protection goals, ensuring that the hot water supply is both efficient and energy-saving.

The project is located in Zhegu Town, which is more than 4,500 meters above sea level. In the past, boiler heating was used, but the heating effect was not ideal. After multiple comparisons, BANDON air source heat pump was selected to transform the heating method. Four 40-horsepower commercial heat pump units for the plateau were used with solar energy technology to create an efficient and stable heating system. The water storage tank was combined to achieve energy-saving heating effects, perfectly replacing the original boiler heating. Solar heating is used when solar radiation is high during the day, and heat pump heating is started when the water storage tank reaches the set temperature at night. The operation effect is ideal and has been recognized by Party A.

A bath center in Lhasa, located in Chengguan District, uses six pcs of BANDON 80-horsepower heat pump water heaters, with a daily hot water supply demand of up to 200 tons. With its ultra-low temperature strong heating technology and high efficiency and energy-saving performance, the BANDON unit can operate stably even in an extreme environment of -35℃, with a noise as low as 58dB, creating a quiet and comfortable bathing environment for customers and providing a stable and comfortable hot water supply for the bath center.

This project is tailor-made for the student dormitories of Angren County Middle School in Shigatse City. In view of the school's unique geographical location adjacent to Mount Everest, facing the challenges of extreme climate, the school has put forward strict requirements for the heating system to be stable, efficient and adaptable to the plateau environment. BANDON plateau-specific 40-horsepower commercial heat pump units are used to meet the local severe cold climate and large-scale heating needs. It has been running stably for 2 years. With the characteristics of high efficiency, energy saving, constant temperature and comfort, BANDON heat pumps protect the teachers and students of Angren County Middle School in Shigatse every winter.


The reason why BANDON inverter heat pumps can be widely used in plateau and high-altitude areas is due to a number of innovative heat pump technologies. First of all, the Hitachi scroll ultra-quiet compressor designed for ultra-low temperature conditions, combined with high-speed scroll + EVI jet reheat technology, breaks through the extreme geographical limitations of low temperature and achieves efficient heating at extremely low temperatures of -35°C. Secondly, the unit has ultra-wide operating ambient temperature and ultra-wide water outlet temperature characteristics, and can operate stably in a wide range of ambient temperatures from -35°C to 55°C, meeting the heating and hot water needs of different seasons throughout the year. In addition, the BANDON heat pump is also equipped with a self-developed core fourth-generation electronic control system and intelligent control functions, which realizes precise defrosting logic and intelligent defrosting, ensuring the stable operation and high efficiency and energy saving of the unit in harsh environments.
