BANDON Provides Stable Empowerment to Changchun Film and Television City

1. Project Overview / Heating Requirements in High-Altitude, Cold, and Humid Environments

Location: Jilin Province

Changchun Project: A film and television industrial park in Changchun (situated in the newly planned "International Film City" zone)

Scale: Total floor area of 170,000 m² (comprising six office buildings)

Climatic Conditions: Typical Northeast climate; average winter temperature of -12°C with extreme lows reaching -30°C; high winter humidity; and a freezing season lasting up to five months. This combination of extreme cold and high humidity places demanding requirements on the low-temperature heating capacity and defrosting performance of air-source heat pumps.

2. Solution / 54 units, modular parallel operation

Based on the facility's architectural layout and thermal load requirements, BANDON installed 54 high-capacity, ultra-low-temperature commercial inverter heat pump units (80 HP), utilizing a combined underfloor heating and fan-coil unit system for the terminal distribution, covering the entire 170,000-square-meter area.

3. Technical Support / Meeting the Dual Challenges of Low Temperature and High Humidity

To address the cold and humid winter climate of Changchun, BANDON units feature a specialized technical design. Regarding low-temperature heating performance, the units utilize BANDON’s low-temperature high-heating technology; during actual winter operation in Changchun, there was no heating capacity degradation or system shutdown caused by low temperatures, and auxiliary heat sources were not activated at any point during the heating season. For defrosting in high-humidity conditions, BANDON developed a customized defrosting program tailored to Changchun’s climate, enabling precise defrosting; defrosting operations accounted for only 4% of the total runtime throughout the heating season.

Smart Management: Comes standard with remote monitoring capabilities, allowing users to check the unit's operating status via mobile devices, which facilitates daily management and maintenance scheduling.

Operational Feedback: Since the project was put into service, indoor temperatures have remained consistently comfortable and the system has operated stably, effectively meeting the complex's winter heating needs.

The 170,000-square-meter Changchun Film and Television City project has validated the practical performance of BANDON’s inverter heat pumps in large-scale public buildings located in regions characterized by extreme cold and high humidity, while also demonstrating the company's accumulated expertise in commercial inverter technology. Since pioneering the market for high-capacity commercial inverter heat pumps in 2016, BANDON has provided stable heating solutions for over 13 million square meters of commercial space. Through advancements ranging from compressor matching and defrosting strategies to electronic control system iterations, BANDON has established distinct technical advantages in low-temperature heating performance, operational energy efficiency, and system stability. The company has built a solid industry reputation backed by a wealth of successful case studies, consistently delivering reliable solutions for large-scale projects in severely cold regions.
