At 9:05 a.m. on January 7, 2025, a
magnitude 6.8 earthquake struck Dingri County, Shigatse City, Tibet Autonomous
Region, causing surface rupture extending approximately 26 kilometers and
reaching a maximum intensity of IX (9). The earthquake affected a vast area,
with the zone of intensity VI (6) or higher covering approximately 23,986
square kilometers and spanning one city, six counties, and 45 townships.
Following the disaster, relevant authorities promptly initiated emergency
response measures and launched all-out rescue efforts to ensure the proper
resettlement of affected residents.
On December 18, 2023—just
recently—Jishishan County in Gansu Province faced the ordeal of an earthquake.
Following the disaster, various sectors of society responded swiftly, throwing
themselves into the urgent tasks of rescue and post-disaster reconstruction.
Amidst this race against time to rebuild, BANDON actively stepped up to provide
robust support for the heating system upgrades of multiple township
governments, demonstrating through concrete action its corporate philosophy:
"Technology warms lives."
Although these two earthquakes occurred at
different times and locations, they both vividly demonstrated the ruthlessness
of natural disasters and the power of human solidarity. From post-disaster
reconstruction in Jishishan, Gansu, to emergency relief efforts in Shigatse,
Tibet, all sectors of society have displayed remarkable cohesion and a
proactive spirit.
BANDON’s heating
system upgrades in Gansu have not only brought warmth to local residents but
also provided valuable insights for post-disaster reconstruction. These efforts
represent more than just support for the affected areas; they are a vivid
embodiment of the philosophy that "technology brings warmth to life."
In 2024, BANDON successfully completed post-disaster air-source heat pump
heating upgrades for five township government offices in Linxia, Gansu. These projects have significantly improved winter heating
conditions for local residents while infusing the reconstruction process with
the warmth of care and support.

Post-Disaster Reconstruction and Heating
System Retrofit Project in Jishishan County, Linxia City
Project Location: Linxia City, Gansu
Province
Equipment Selection: Six 60 HP units, one
20 HP unit, and one 15 HP unit
Heating Area: 6,700 m² (total)
Heating Terminals: Radiators and underfloor
heating

The project covers townships such as Juji
Town, Shiyuan Township, and Liugou Township in Jishishan County, Linxia City.
Following the earthquake, existing heating equipment sustained severe damage
and could no longer meet residents' basic heating needs. As post-disaster
recovery and reconstruction became an urgent priority, upgrading the heating
systems emerged as a crucial component of the effort. Consequently, the BANDON
team configured specific models and quantities of BANDON variable-frequency
heat pumps tailored to the heating areas and actual requirements of each
township.

Specifically, three township government
offices were each equipped with two 60-HP BANDON units to meet their respective
heating needs for a 2,000 m² area; the 400 m² Xuhujia Township government
office was equipped with one 20-HP BANDON unit; and the 300 m² Bezang Village
Committee office was equipped with one 15-HP BANDON unit. Through optimized
equipment selection and layout, sufficient heating is ensured for each
facility. The system utilizes a combination of radiators and underfloor heating
to provide more uniform and comfortable indoor temperatures, thereby enhancing
the quality of life for local residents.

With its highly efficient, energy-saving,
eco-friendly, and reliable air-source heat pump systems, BANDON has become a
standout feature of the post-earthquake reconstruction efforts in Gansu.
Through this heating system upgrade project, the heating infrastructure for
government facilities in Jiji Town, Shiyuan Township, and Liugou Township—all
located in Jishishan County, Linxia City—will undergo a comprehensive overhaul,
delivering a more stable, environmentally friendly, and comfortable heating
solution for local residents.

BANDON’s post-disaster reconstruction
efforts not only demonstrate a commitment to social responsibility but also
serve as a vivid embodiment of the vision of a community with a shared future
for mankind. In this battle against natural disaster, the company has joined
hands with all sectors of society; through concrete actions, they have
exemplified the spirit of "when trouble strikes in one place, help comes
from all quarters," together writing a new chapter in post-disaster
recovery.
In the face of disaster, we firmly believe
that through unity, the combined power of technology and humanity will bring
new hope and warmth to the affected areas. The concerted efforts of all sectors
of society will coalesce into a powerful wave of warmth, illuminating the path
forward for the people in the disaster zones. BANDON stands with you as we
overcome these challenging times together, looking forward to the dawn of
reconstruction.
